About the artist

I began painting in the summer of 2024 as a hobby to get away from the stress of my day job as an audio engineer and film composer, and after a severe illness in 2022 nearly ended my life (no, not that one). Coming back from that wasn't as easy as the movies make it out to be. Returning to "normal" wasn't going to happen quickly, if ever, so I had to make some changes.

Though I enjoyed drawing throughout childhood, I never had any interest in painting. But for some reason whey I first gave it a try that summer, I loved it. I started watching other artists' tutorials online, reading, and practicing. Just over a year later, and I am presenting my work for sale. My focus is on landscapes - from mountain to sea. I am also working on a series of rural Kentucky and farm landscapes.

10/4/25 - Octoberfest, Taylorsville, KY. The festival was a great success! We met many wonderful people, and potential buyers.

Just in the past few short years, AI has stormed into every software product, ad, news story, electronic device, and industry on the planet. I won't go into specifics, but suffice it to say, that, and the timing is neither coincidental or good for humanity. Replacing art maybe the least of the dangers.

But those concerns aside, you can rest assured, every piece of art and music I create is free of AI. I don't use AI references, AI social media, AI idea generators, AI paint, or AI soap to clean my brushes, and never will. God gave us the gift of creativity and no machine or algorithm can ever compete.
